Overview

Why a Swing Wardrobes?

Swing wardrobes are the most traditional and widely loved wardrobe style. Hinged doors open outward, giving you full, unobstructed access to the entire interior in one motion. Because there are no overlapping panels, you see everything inside at a glance — making organisation effortless. The classic swing mechanism is also the most durable over time, with no tracks to wear out or misalign. Perfect for bedrooms where floor space allows the doors to swing open freely.

FAQ

Common Questions

How much space do I need in front of a swing wardrobe?+
You need clearance equal to the door width — typically 18–24 inches — in front of the wardrobe for the doors to open fully. We assess your room layout during the free home visit and advise accordingly.
Can I have a mirror on swing wardrobe doors?+
Yes, full-length mirrors on swing doors are extremely popular. They make the room feel larger and serve as a dressing mirror. We use toughened glass with anti-shatter backing for safety.
What finishes are available for swing wardrobe shutters?+
We offer laminates (matte, gloss, textured), PU lacquer, veneer, glass (frosted/clear/tinted), and acrylic high-gloss. All finishes are available with or without mirror inserts.
Can I convert a swing wardrobe to sliding later?+
The carcass (body) can remain the same. The shutter mechanism, hinges, and frame would need replacing. It is generally easier and more cost-effective to decide the door type at the design stage.
